Japanese Raku Kiln Firing method.
We have been lucky enough to obtain a bursary from The Leach Pottery to run a Raku Party as part of their national event in partnership with the Crafts Council’s Hey Clay! festival. The Leach Pottery is celebrating 100 years this year and we are excited to be part of the celebrations.
The event will be open to anyone wishing to try Raku. So reserve you place now, they will go fast.
Great Fun, Steam, Smoke and Flames. If you have never tried Raku before you have a great experience ahead of you – instant pottery magic!
You will observe the firing process as well as learning how to glaze a Raku pot. The day includes a finished glazed pot to take home.
